 Topic: 17'-6" length & 17'-0" width dining hall.

Sir.

I want to know what size/depth is required of roof beam & thickness of RCC Roof slab 17'-6"  length & 17'-0" width dining hall.

I am attached the Column lay out.

         The size of beam and slab can be calculated by structural engineer by designing the same with load factor. How ever tentative beam should be 9''x 18'' with 2no steel bars of 20mm and 4 bars of 16 mm with 8mm ring 4'' center to center. slab thickness should be 5''. In room 17'x 17' you should lay hidden beam in slab 18''x6'' with 4no 16 mm steel bars at top and bottom. Use cement concrete mix 1;1.5;3.
