Join date: Mar 2008 | Dear Swaroop For the problem you face, I am in view that 1. You have laid the slab than 2. To lay lean concrete under floor than 3. To lay floor as per your choice In this way you fix floor trap under the wash basin by chiseling the slab as per your proposal and give slope to words wash basin. Now as per lean concrete thickness it must be 2'', so you can lay 2'' or 2.5'' thick waste pipe for drainage of wash basin and spill water from lower portion.Care should be taken that there should be waste water only not any thick solid so that pipe may not chow k.

1) If I raise the floor by putting 2" concrete, will there be sufficient space to keep a trap ?. I am under the impression that you need minimum 4" thickness for keeping a floor trap 2) If chiselling slab adviceable ?. I fear water seepage. In this proposal how deep I need to make a channel on slab ? 3) I heard there is some special trap available. Don't know the name, but it costs Rs 27000 or so. Have you heard anything like that ? | |
