i want to know that how structure engineer design the structure of building exmple:-900 sq feet building structure design need to know

        To design a building/ house is a process as detail below.
1. Structural engineer collect the soil data from field i.e. bearing capacity of the soil for foundation design.
2. After that he saw the plan of the building and note the distance of various columns and walls.
3. After that load is separately calculated which are bear by  the columns and walls.
4. From these load and bearing capacity of soil foundation is designed.
5. After that the roof beam and slab is designed keeping in view of the load on the structure and span of the column and walls.
