Can I build a loft inside a flat with 'bout 20ft ceiling height? Do I need permissions from the Govt.?

 Topic: Can I build a loft inside a flat with 'bout 20ft ceiling height? Do I need permissions from the Govt.?
I have found a particular 3BHK flat with an upfront garden and am getting it at a great deal since it's the builders own flat.

What I was wondering was that, since the celling height is double than the normal would be use it to my advantage to construct a loft and create an overhead space to shift dinning table and relaxation balcony space or anything to make it a part duplex.

Will I be able to build one strong enough to support it over head? Maybe by using beams and hiding it with wood work?

Plus, would there be any specific permissions required? or since it's interior work, I'm free to do anything on my will?

Any input is greatly appreciated, since I have to make a decision wether or not to buy that place.

Join date: May 2014		No permission required for any interior wall addition but it may require if you are removing one.
