 Topic: Cost of Construction
I have a site with size 30x40 = 1200 sqfeet and want to built Ground & First floor (Total buildup area - 2000 sqfeet approximately).

The contractors say that it will cost 1400 per sqfeet for construction as per the attached specification which he will be going to use. 

Please advise whether it is justifiable for paying 1400/sq feet or what is the cost of construction as per the attached specification.

hi naveed,
have you attached entire items list...as i can notice "contd 2 " in the bottom right corner.
Pls attach any more info and terms and conditions as this will help in judging the 1400/sft price quoted by contractor.

          The actual cost can be compared with detail estimate. The detail estimate is framed with plan of the building and specification supplied by you. In detail estimate you can find the quantity of different material used in construction etc.In this way you are in better position to bargain with the contractor.See the link below
