Demolition of RCC roof.

 Topic: Demolition of RCC roof.
I had constructed about 800 sq feet of my ground floor out of the total 2000 sq feet. Now I am constructing the rest 1200 sq feet. In an earlier post I had sought advice on jointing the old and new RCC roofs. However, due to some design changes and the fact that a single cast RCC roof will be better than a jointed one I am demolishing the (old) 800 sq feet RCC roof. During the process of demolition I want to ensure that there is no damage to my walls / the cement bonds in the brick walls /vertical RCC pillars / PVC Pipes running in my wall. How do I ensure this ? I understand that a lot of energy will be released into the structure by the demolition hammers!

      If with the reason that single cast RCC roof is better, than I am in view that do not demolish the already laid slab. In big structure one should provide construction joint and expansion joint. Rather dismantlement you should take help of any civil engineer or structural engineer, who will guide you about the joint of slab. There are various method to lay the slab in such circumstances.
