|  Topic: Diagonal, Horizontal cracks in RCC walls
Dear All
Walls of my 4 yr old, column based house developed diagonal, horizontal and vertical cracks on interior and exterior walls. Also the frames of the doors and windows developed gaps, Pics attached. It was a house I bought from a local seller, no plan is available. Please let me know if anyone knows a vendor who can provide services like inspection and repairing.

Cracks must be repaired immediately when observed
otherwise the life of structure will reduce causing structural failure.
They not only weaken the building but spoil the beauty of walls also.

Arrange good mason and repair as given above. For door and window gap if gap is up to 2cm than fix wooden beading on the side of chowkat covering the gap. Arrange goon mason and carpentor for this.

One of my cousin who visited the house told that horizontal and diagonal cracks might be due to sinking of soil below the house. Can this be the cause? If yes, how to fix the soil below the flooring?
