|  Topic: Extending the Roof concrete
Hello All,
I did a lot of search regarding this topic and I did not get a firm answer.
The current home where we are staying was built in 2009 (In Coimbatore)
Now I have desire to construct the first floor.
The covered area of ground floor is 640sqft.only.
Please check the attachment.
Now we require more space in first floor.
Now my main question is,
Is it possible to extend the roof concrete of ground floor?
(with the help of pillars) ?
I want to utilise the free space in ground floor in the first floor.
Free space I want to extension is shown in attachment 2.
No roof beam is visible outside as of now.
Please throw your ideas on this and how can I make it.

As stated by you for increasing the open space. construct pillar or column and lay the beam and roof slab accordingly. If you want proper design than contact at support@gharexpert.com with old plan and requirement for customize service.

Join date: May 2014 | You can also give the load to the nearby walls instead of taking new pillars. The major open area is just 11.3 which has 2 walls near it and 6.4 which will act like a balcony if the outer wall is not available.
