Dear Sir,
I'm planning to build house double story about 1440 sqft. When I discussed with engineer ,I cant decide from his point of view. 1.Framed structure will be higher cost rather than load bearing structure .Is it worthy? 2.Choosing cement ,he suggest any one of ISI brand 43 grade cement plus add mixer (Fiber) rather than branded cement ( ultra tech, ACC) . Do you agree with argue? 3.FLY Ash bricks Vs clay bricks
Please advice me , how much cost covered extra instead of regular concept price? | |

You should go with frame structure building, As this type of building give you safety against earth quack. In frame structure building, you can go with partion wall which saves the space. Cost of bricks in the market is very high. There is littel differance in the cost.In case of multi storey and frame structure building constructions, the entire load is born by columns and the floor area/ internal space of building is freely adjusted according to the requirement.
You should go with factory manufactured branded cement.

Sir,
@ S L Gupta re Using Clay bricks. There are lot many forums, professional papers etc talking about use of Fly ash bricks declaring that these bricks are stronger, lighter and cheaper etc. One fresh civil engineering graduate opined that Fly ash bricks used in Rat Trap Bond wall masonry lay, would be more cost saving and stronger. However, local professional experienced engineers are not much enthused at all about using Fly ash bricks. Sir, could you please give some advice on this. Locally Fly ash bricks are about 50 % cheaper in cost, in my place. Is there anything, such as earlier decay etc which goes against Fly ash bricks when compared with good Clay bricks ?
Thanks

Dear
Fly ash bricks are generally used for making curtain and partition walls of the houses/ buildings. Fly ash bricks are used in domestic building in the category of low or middle-income groups mostly have single or two storied dwelling units. Use of fly ash bricks in this type of construction is meant mainly to achieve economy and make profits.
