I know Bhutan Tuff has Gurjan and regular variety both. Also check the termite resistance quality of the board variety if your area has termite problems. | |

Dear Raghuam, My answer is a total reversal of all u 've been reading above. Purchase a medium quality plywood/board from a known vendor of urs and laminate it both sides so as to make it last long enough. laminating both sides will automatically make it borer/termite resistanbt and water resistant. further what cost u'll pay only for branded ply ..in that cost u'll achieve both side laminated ply. so there is no point in investing on water proof ply( nothing is proof..its only a marketing gimmick, it can only be resistant to some time limit), rather invest on double lamination.
If u've noticed, i have said purchase it from known vendor, which is important to ensure a minimum quality standard in non branded too.
cost analysis. u 'll save at least Rs 35-40 /sq ft
if u use say 50 (8x4) ply/board then u'll save 32*35*50=Rs 56000/-
Thanks
