|  Topic: Hairline cracks in walls and at 4" wall and pillar junction
Dear Sir,
I constructed a house two years ago in 540 square feet area. The house
has only ground floor now. There are eleven 9inch by 9inch pillars. All the
walls are 4 inches.
I am observing that hairline cracks are appearing here and there in the plaster.
Please let me know why does it happen and how can I prevent it. Also, what
precaution should I take while repairing it so that it does not occur again.
With which material should I fill the cracks so that the cracks do not appear
again.
Also, cracks which are a bit thicker than hairline are appearing at the meeting
point of 4"walls and pillars. Why does this happen and how can this be
prevented because I do not want this to happen if I construct the first
floor. I first erected the walls and then casted the pillars.
Please help as Ghar expert is the only forum that gives the correct and
accurate advise.
