In your drawing for outer wall if the side land is related to other owner than how you will accommodate the steps shown in the drawing of outer wall.

Hello,
I am planning to construct a house size about 2000 sq. feet in assam. I need help on selecting the kind of foundation, as my soil is soft.
Also, if you can guide about the cost of foundation, as my plan is to construct the house in three stage one by one.
1) Foundation 2) Roof 3) Wall and finishing.
regards, Anjan | |

Dear Anjan, You positively will engage a competent engineer to draw a plan for your proposed building who also will supervise the entire works during construction. 1st the said engineer will examine the soil strata and finally he draw the design of the foundation considering other concept and necessary. So I will advise you to finalize your plan with structural detail by engaging an approved engineer of your locality.
