I also prefer open concept. How about if kitchen and dining room are formed into one open room. But women do want privacy. Its all up to you.
Lot of people have difficulty in placing a washroom - toilet in the right location in India. I don't know if your design has problem with it.
Make sure you have proper ventilation in all room.
If one decides to use Vastu, it makes design little more difficult. How about feng shui?

thanks a lot Kanhaiya for your valuable comments. The three rooms in my plan you are mentioning are of 12 * 14 sq.ft dimensions. Which i don''t think should be considered as square dimension. One more thing i have doubt, can i make the garrage width as 10 ft? Is 10ft enough for a single car to fit in?

The three square rooms I am referring to are Kitchen 10 X 10, Dining room 10 X 10 and Upper Living Room 10 X10. Correct me if I am wrong.
The driveway width in my opinion should be minimum 10 feet. One should be able to open the car door comfortably. With 10 feet driveway, one can open the car door partially. 10 feet driveway is usually the standard. With 12 feet driveway one can open car doors comfortably. I can understand why 12 feet driveway is used, one wants to make the house proportional. Meaning Lawn area shouldn’t be too wide and driveway to be too narrow. Make sure the entrance door is not directly in center of the house.
I am not 100% sold on the idea of how stairs are implemented in drawing. Look at how the traffic is flowing in the house. One has to come back the opposite way to take the stairs. The entrance is completely blocked off hence the beauty of the house. The good point thou is one can detect who is going up the stairs. If I remember correctly the way one goes up the stairs is in clockwise direction so make sure one doesn’t have it counter clockwise direction.
If one want to put the stairs around that location. I would push it back toward puja room at drawing room wall and make the stair entrance coming in main entrance door. A closet for jacket would be nice around the entrance door.
On the ground floor how about if the Kitchen and Dining room are moved to North-West direction. The bedroom and washroom moved to North – East direction.
I would also make a Laundry room for washing machine and dryer. Maybe take out a washroom. If I remember correctly, you have four washrooms.
Make also a nice outdoor entrance, so people can take off their shoes.
Make washroom windows larger. Not small square. Rectangular would be nice.
These are only suggestion, not to take it seriously.

One more point I forgot to mention. I am not sold on the idea of having bathroom inside the bedroom even thou for couple.
We design one bedroom with washroom inside it. But I don't like it.
We also have those concrete shelf in most room for storage. I have mixed feeling about this as it makes the room smaller.

The reason why I am saying that Kitchen and Dining room should be moved towards Drawing Room (Living Room) is beacause if you decide to break the wall between Drawing Room (Living Room) and Dining Room, it would still look good. Open Concept provided the necessary beams are in place.
