Mam,
             North -East corner of the plot must never be cut. In fact this is only corner where extension is allowed. The North- East corner for the plot creates many problem for growth and development  from the initial stages . it has been t experience of many people that the North-East corner  cut must be corrected first to avoid such problems.where correction has not possible most of the people have rejected the plot itself .always remember that remedies will reduce ill effect of the defect and will not kill the defect completely.
if still you have any doubt please consult with a vastu expert.
