Hi everyone,

I would like to know if constructing a house on load bearing walls is cheaper / economical than constructing the house on column structure. If yes, is there a huge difference? And does the sand requirement goes up if we in for a load bearing one? Pls advise.

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Syed Up to 3-story building load bearing wall construction in the house is some what economical. The requirement of sand is almost same in both cases.
