Main door direction on a 50 / 80 west facing plot

Topic: Main door direction on a 50 / 80 west facing plot

Hi,

I am in the process of finalising the plan through my local architect.

It is a west facing plot and i always had the impression that north facing door is best however architect has suggested a west facing door and his view is that if the main door is in north-west quadrant of the plot then the door should be wet facing.

Can you please hekp clarify this query.

Gunjan Utraja Join date: Dec 2007	Post subject: Actually west facing plot is not considered good. You should be careful while planning the west facing plots. There are lot of things that has to be kept in mind for west facing plot. You have to maintain different floor levels. Like south west floor level should be raised from north east. South west portion should have garage, store, servant room. You cannot leave south west open. The front boundary wall should be higher than back boundary wall. Try to engage vastu expert while planning west facing plots.
