Join date: May 2014 | The protection above the window is not good. If you cant change the slab above it then avoid the wooden frame or window, otherwise it will gave you issues time to time. | |

Join date: Aug 2012 | 1. Make a new bigger wether-shade upon existing one. Marble or RCC can be used for new shade.
2. Shutters should be wooden only, because you have wooden frames. don't use alumin or UPVC in your case.

@Purvi - Yes, it certainly seems like shutters would have to be wooden. With respect to extending the weather-shade, I am afraid it would become little too thick if its RCC and elevation might take a hit. You mentioned that marble can be also used here which i believe would be little bit more aesthetically pleasing. Would it be possible for you to elaborate little further on placement of marble over the two windows? Also, do you think we should wait first monsoon season to see how things go before making any changes? I am attaching a new pic with a better view. Thank you. | | | |
