| Topic: Need Help internal walls cracking horizontally, diagonally and vertically
hello all,
I recently bought a constructed duplex new house and moved into it last August. The interior of the house has been done with Luppam and then painted with Asian Paints.
I've noticed the internal walls have been developing cracks (horizontally/vertically) along the walls, along the window frames. In some places the area is bloating into bubbles and the paint is ready to chip off. I feel that the painter has not done a proper job and I can see the after affects. I'm asking the builder to attend the problem and he promised to. Recently I checked with some local painters about this issue and they said this issue would resurface no matter how many ever times you fill the cracks.
So i'm looking for a permanent fix to this problem. So all your expert advices would be helpful in cornering and fixing the issue permanently. I am attaching the pics for easy identification and narrowing down of the problem.

Thanks for the reply Mr Ilyas. The problem is just not at one point which I posted. Its cracking in almost all around (inside/internal) the house. Hence I was a bit worried as this is a new house and something like this is already happening for putting in so much of hard earned money in buying this house.
So the painter should be told to skim the entire length of the crack and then fill it as suggested by you. Or does the painter know if I tell him this language or do I need to be giving specific instructions so that he follows it meticulously as I don't want this to resurface and more than anything the entire mess the painters create is difficult to clean and tidying up is tiring and cumbersome.
Pardon my ignorance in these matters, please give detailed instructions to get the job done. | |
