I need to know the daily prices of building material, in order to plan and start construction.
pls advise me where can i get daily building material price?

hi,
I plan to build house with promotors and their specification for 895sq.ft build area without pillars.
The items of work will be as follows :
I) Foundation & Basement
1. Earthwork excavation for Column footing 3’6” x 3’6” up to 5’0”
2. Plain cement concrete 1:5:10 using 11/2” metal for foundation
3. Reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 using 3/4” jelly for column
depth.

barbending and centering etc., (STUB COLUMN METHOD)
4. The basement wall will be constructed by brick work and inside walls
will be plastered.
5. The basement height will be fixed as 3’-0” from existing ground
level.
6.Gravel filling inside basement including well ramming and
consolidation will be done.
7. Flooring with plain cement concrete 1:4:8 using 11/2” metal to a
thickness of 4”.
II) Super Structure
1. Brick work main wall 9” tk in C.M. 1:6 & Partion wall 4.5” tk in
C.M 1:4 using chamber bricks for superstructures as per working
drawing details.
2. Reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 using 3/4” jelly for column, lintel
beam, roof beam and roof slab etc., as per detail. It includes the
barbending and centering etc.,
3. Ceiling plastering will be finished in C.M 1:3 and C.M 1:5 by using
trowel and sponge.
4. Wall plastering will be finished in C.M. 1:5 by using trowel and
sponge.
5. Parapet wall 2’6” height will be constructed with 4.5” brick wall.
6. Weathering course by brick jelly and top will be finished with cement mortor flooring.
III) Floor finishing and Wall finishing:
1. Floor finishing:
a) All rooms in all Floor : Vetrified tiles @ 45.00/Sft
b) Toilet : Ceramic tiles @ 30.00/Sft
c) Entrance steps : Green Marble @ 80.00/Sft
d) Portico and outer staircase steps : Eurocon tiles @ 30.00/Sft
2. Wall finish:
a) Toilet walls upto 7’0” Height : Glazed tiles @ 45.00/Sft
b) Kitchen walls upto 4’0” Height : Glazed tiles @ 45.00/Sft
c) Skirting for all other walls in 3” Height : Vetrified tiles
d) Kitchen Table top : Green marble @ 80/Sft
e) Kitchen Stainless steel sink (Rs.1000/Nos)
IV) Joineries
1.Doors :
a) For Main door :Wooden door with paduk 5”x4”
frames and 11/2” shutters.
b) For Other doors :Flush doors with sal wood 4”x3”
frames.
c) For toilet doors :PVC Door with frame ( Rs.1500 per nos)
2. Windows & Ventilators :
a) For Windows & ventilator : UPVC window & ventilator with grill
3. Staircase handrail : Steel handrail. (Outer)
4. Locks
a. Maindoor Lock - Brass Lock (Rs.1500/Nos), Brass Hindges &
Brass towerbolt.

b. All other doors & Windows are powder coated lock , I-max
Hindges & Towerbolt.
V) A. Painting works
1. Inner walls will be finished with one coat of primer over a coat of
Plaster of Paris (POP).
2. Outer walls will be finished with one coats of Cement paint (ACE/Berger
or equivalent) over a one coat of Kottayam white cement.( standard
colour used for all villas)
3. Main door will be finished with polishing.
4. All other Doors & Windows grill will be finished with two coats of
enamel paint.
B. Electrification arrangements:
Concealed conduit wiring using PVC pipes and ISI brand cables for light,
fan and plug points with Indo asian switches with steel boxes will be provided for
all rooms.
UPS and Safety alarm works will be charged extra as per the market value.
C. Plumbing and sanitary arrangements:
Plumbing pipe line shall be provided by using CPVC pipes for inner and
PVC pipes for outer lines.
This work includes Plumbing sanitary fittings (ISI brand).
My doubt is whether its safe to go for pillar construction or this is save. | |
