Hi,
I am leaving in a G+1 house. This is without columns. Ground floor was constructed in 1992 and First floor in 2000. We dont have ample parking space and ground floor house is old fashioned.
Is there any way to put columns(pillars) to support first floor and remove ground floor, so that i can make some parking space and go for construction of second floor. Is it possible?
Ramesh.
Dear Ramesh
It is possible to construct new RCC column and put/ construct beam under first floor by giving necessary supports. when beam is fully cured and able to take load then can remove the ground structure.BUT DO NOT make this without the consultation of structural / civil engineer, who will give design of column, beam, MS steel in column and beam and give some instructions about how to handle the work at site.
