After reading contents I am in view that firstly clear the tank side from out side where tank is damaged by roots. Clear the roots and repair the damaged portion. The other near by roots also be cut not to damage in future. Test the water of tank after repair, if it is coorect than fill the excavated portion. | |

Dear Sri Gupta, Thank you very much. Due to space and access constraints,my sump cannot be excavated and approached from out side. The sump is located just at the main entrance. The flooring above is concreted and paved with tiles. Please advise, whether after removal of roots ,cement plastering repair of wall cracks, waterproofing etc from inside sump, can I construct an RCC lining internal to sump? I doubt whether concreting in confined space inside sump could be feasible / advisable? Regards, N.V.Mani
