 Topic: Size of Column
Dear Sir,

My house 1500 sq ft construction for G+1 is on going. Contractor has build 16 column of 9x9 with 6 bars to 16 mm. Distance between of between 13 to 16 feet. Almost all walls are build 9 inches. Kindly guide if structure is on safer side.

        The size of column and MS Steel bars are calculated by structural engineer on the basis of plan of building and load to be bear by the column. However it seems to be correct.

I worried because someone told me the 9x9 inches pillars are not safe for G+1 construction.
My contractor made these with his own calculations.Although i have made 70 % of walls 9 inches, but i am still worried on column size.
