In Vastu all 4 directions has equal importance is there.We can not tell simply that south is not suitable.There are so many houses/commercial complexes which of south face are well popular/developed. South is also suitable provide remaining principles of vastu should be satisfy/implement perfectly to that particular building (like plan[usage],setbacks[open spaces],entrances,loads,offset of structures,ground levels,roof levels etc ).

Join date: Dec 2015 | globally south facing homes are expensive than other directions like in US, Europe and canada, as sunlight is good in south facing houses.
If you live in very hot city then you can avoid it, else its good,
as sun will also rotate directions season wise and through the day.
its only in india where people are inclined more towards north east facing houses
