Hello,Its difficult to categories the product by their brand, as everyone's product is chemically the same (atleast in paper).
But when it comes quality product, no one can beat TATA in this segment. Its the only company to provide Fe500 in place of Fe415 and that too at the same price. TATA is the only company which sell its product in Meter measurement and not in Kg. Hence its wise for him to stick to its diameter.
Ideal weight of Steel 8 mm : 0.40 Kg/m 10 mm : 0.60 Kg/m 12 mm : 0.90 Kg/m 16 mm : 1.6 Kg/m
If you choose TATA, you get satisfactory quality but price is more than others.
SAIL is equally good.

Tata is very expensive. I do not think that the quality of tata is better than other local brands. They are equally good as reputed and topmost brands in steel. Although the big DLF buildings in Gurgaon are built using kaamdhenu and rathi.
Steel strength should be enough according to the load bearing capacity of the building. And kamdhenu and rathi are equally good.

There are different views/opinions here. I am confused a bit on this. Although it's personal choice but I want to make some informed decision.
Can you please let me know the price difference between Tata Steel and Kamdhenu/Rathi steel. I want to find out whether it's worth to pay a little extra for Tata Steel?
How much will I have to pay more for Tata steel.

You should purchase MS Steel from any reputed firm, differance of rate have no meaning for such a big purchase. The rates of steel are varies daily, so it is of no use to now the price of today or tomorrow.
Every firm give steel on weight basises, no firm give you steel on measurement basises.

RINL, visakhapatnam is the best steel industry for making wire rods of 8mm,10mm,12mm 16mm,20mm etc. Quality wise u always choose any branded steel only like visakhapatnam steel or tata steel. do not go for local steel because they are not mainted uniformity in dia and thier chemical composition also differes from bulk to bulk. | | |
