Latak beam means the beam under roof and hazmi beam means beam in
roof. Latak beam have more strength than hasmi beam in slab. Contractor
wants to lay hazmi beams because shuttering material and labor is more
in latak beam. For slab use 12mm steel bars at 7''c/c or 10 mm at 6''c/c.. | |

We prefer Latak beam in cases where the roof height is more e.g. in commercial buildings. It rarely needed in residential building of your size and design. It is required when we have more open area between 2 columns or walls in a building. So not a concern in a small residential project.
