There are many items of a house which are to be checked at the time of possession of a house.
1. To check the floor i.e. finishing, level, corners and there should be no any breakage or cracks in the floor.
2. To check the doors and windows, there shutters, glass, wire gauge, fittings and locks etc.
3. To check the paint and other finishing of the house.
4. If there is terrace then check the tile terracing, rain water pipe, joints of roof and parapet etc.
5. To check the kitchen floor slope, counter, sink and other accessories.
6. To check the toilet slope and all the accessories including wall tiles etc.
Similarly there are many points which are to check for every component of the house.

Thank You mr. S.L Gupta for your valuable inputs.Do you think I would get interior decorators only for consultations. Im under the impression that a decorator will only help me if I go ahead with the designing of the house with him/her. I first need to find out as to what all I can do... its like I want to find out all my options before I decide on anything....
