Wall on roof slab with no beam underneath

 Topic: Wall on roof slab with no beam underneath
Sir, in my ground floor roof, there is a area having dimension 8'×9'. there are 10"×10" horizontal beams just under the roof slab around this 8'×9' area. now i want to construct  a 4.5 inch thik separation wall at the middle of this area to make  two bathrooms  with dimensions  4.5'×8' and 4'×8'. now there will be no beam under this separation wall. will it be ok Sir?

        Keep the wall height up to 7 feet and give window with glass above 7' height to reduce the load.
2. Lay 4.5'' thick  up word beam with 6'' height with 4 nos 16 mm bars on the slab the end of beam rest on the walls.

Join date: Apr 2017		Thank you very much Sir for your reply. I have one more  question. I have a extended roof slab  (cantilever ) which is 1.5 ft extended from wall and length is 9 ft. there are two extended horizontal beams (10"×10"), both are extended 1.5 ft from wall at the two  side of this cantilever. Now if 4.5 inch thick wall is constructed along the9 ft edge of the cantilever , then will it be harmful Sir?

       There is no harm to construct wall. Try to minimize the load by giving glazing in the wall.
2. you can make 3'' thick wall with hoop iron e.i provide MS Flat in in 3'' wall at 1' height.
