Hi Gupta sir!

1) which is better....
cement pain or dry distemper pain for exterior walls in Dehradun where we get a lot of rain cost wise and protection wise? Do they stand good in comparison to things like Apex / Ultima etc...similar paints?

2) what cost difference does mosaic and tile(using rs.50 per sq.feet tile) flooring has?

3) cost of stone chips for mosaic flooring? how much amount needed per square foot? what is the basic difference between mosaic and terrazzo florring in terms of look and costing?

4) one of your info section (http://www.gharexpert.com/articles/Counter-Tops-1317/Kitchen-Counter-Tops-Part-1_0.aspx) says that hardwood kitchen counter would cost less than stone, granite, solid surface or tile. Is this true? what hardwood in india are you talking about? what will it cost per square foot and how to fit?

1.Cement paint is better than Dry distemper. The Acrylic exterior paint apex ultima is good for exterior surface.
2. The cost of mosiac floor is Rs 35-00 to Rs 40-00 per sft where as Rs v50-00 basic rates tiles  the complete rate comes out to be Rs 80-00 per sft. These both rates are exclusive of base coat.
3. Mosaic and Terrazo flooring is same floor.
4. Hard wood is the wood such as Hollac wood, seaseem wood, keekar wood etc and these planks after finishing by carpenter can be fixed for counter top and finished with either paint or laminated or finished with fixing thin seat of aluminum.As you stated that our article says it is cheap this is true but in the article next line  is that it damaged by water and get stain after some time. Actually In rural area where we have counter top of wood have not use water on that top and use them to store articles on that tops. Now i think it is clear to you.
A wooden top is long lasting if it’s sealed and installed properly. Hardwood tops are usually costlier than laminate but it is less expensive than stone, granite, solid surface, tile or steel. The top has some drawbacks because it can be damaged by water and get stains after some time.
