What does a client expect from an Architect / Design Agency ?

 Topic: What does a client expect from an Architect / Design Agency ?
Is it important for everyone in the industry to understand that we are in a nobel profession of creating habitable building for people and it's of utmost importance that an Architect or a Designer understands the people they are serving. 

With this in mind, this is an open questions for all, clients, Architects, Designers, experts, others :

1) What does a client expect from an Architect in terms of services?

2) What would enable people to hire professional to do professional jobs rather than do it themselves, after all nothing can replace the experience that professionals have?

3) If a house or a building is an important milestone for oneself, then why do people compromise on quality and time. Don't you want a safe, beautiful and everlasting creation to stand the times?
