what is epoxy floring. what is the methodology to do it. Explain please.

          Epoxy flooring is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including many acids (inorganic), alkalis; mineral oils, solvents etc. It also has excellent resistance to water.

            Before applying the epoxy the surface should be thoroughly examined and it should be clean. The surface should be checked for barriers such as existing sealers, curing materials, grease, oil, efflorescence, and dirt that must be removed. Follow the grinding process such as diamond grinding etc and the junction should be grinded by hand grinding. Once the grinding is complete, the floor must be meticulously swept and vacuumed – all the way to the edges so that no residue remains that could interfere with complete bonding.

                   Apply the epoxy coating according the instruction of manufacturer.
