Hard wood is the wood such as Hollac wood, seaseem wood, keekar wood
etc and these planks after finishing by carpenter can be fixed for
counter top and finished with either paint or laminated or finished with
fixing thin seat of aluminum.As you stated that our article says it is
cheap this is true but in the article next line is that it damaged by
water and get stain after some time. Actually In rural area where we
have counter top of wood have not use water on that top and use them to
store articles on that tops. Now i think it is clear to you.
A wooden top is long lasting if it’s sealed and installed
properly. Hardwood tops are usually costlier than laminate but it is
less expensive than stone, granite, solid surface, tile or steel. The top has
some drawbacks because it can be damaged by water and get stains after
some time.
