help me to give a structure for my home

i need a help.

the front open space above the carporch and sit out.

i need to cover using roofing tile or pergolla without making any changes on exterior beauty of my home.i dont like to put aluminium roofing sheets.i also have littlebit of leakage problem to the living room door and main entrance door.that is why i thought about covering the open terrace.

i wish that if i can use that space for family get together fun time...

but there is one problem.the distance between the first floor and the roofing floor of carporch and sit out is four step.

in which shape ,i can use a roofing tile structure .

can i use pergolla?

as per my knowledge the height of the pergolla must not be more...there is no beauty if the pergolla is in above more  height.
