|  Topic: ideas to reduce heat from terrace roof
dear members ....I am facing a huge problem because of the heat from our exposed flat terrace....the room boils like an oven in summer and the heat is so unbearable that it is difficult to even stay in the house...now I am planning to build a first floor with sloping terrace but am worried that I will face the same proble in the upstairs rooms...I have learnt that using clay roof tiles on top of the rcc terrace keeping a gap between the two helps reduce heating problem. can anyone confirm that this arrangement actually works ? |

Thermal insulation is a method to reduce the transfer of heat from outside to inside. To make house heat proof,
thermal insulation is a good choice. An insulated home is more
comfortable as the temperature remains consistent over weather changes.
It makes the house comfortable and keeps the temperature of house cool in summers and warm in winters. It is very useful to keep the temperature of the house independent from outside temperature.See link below
