1) You can put digital print picture on the wall. Especially print should be related to meals, elements of dining table, cutlery, etc.

2) You can also use shell/ stone mosaic tile on the wall. 

3) For the ethnic, traditional look, you can have carving or pillar effect for the wall.

4) If you want sober or soothing effect then you can use marble cladding or plain wall tiles. Wall tiles are very easy to maintain.

5) You can use sparkle granite for walls.

6) One more latest option could be wallpapers/ Vinyl sheet consist of decorative print.

7) One more option but it is not in trend now is textured paint.
