|  Topic: sir, i have want to take a house on rent which is west facing, and kitchen is i
sir, i have want to take a house on rent which is west facing, and kitchen is in the middle part and while cooking food i have to face west, and sink is also on same platform. and on the left land side is the utility balcony towards north. so plz tell me the negative or positive effect and a remedy. there is no space to change the plform to east or any other direction; moreover, behind the kitchen is the bathroom. The Master bedroom is towards east. the south side is mostly open with balconies and glass doors. Please advise if we can move into this house. We don't have children and are trying......will the house have any affect? |

Dear Pallavi,
Here are some general tips for west facing home:
- Main door should be in south or south-east corner.
- North-west or south-east corner is good for kitchen.
- Master bedroom should be in north-west direction.
- Do not extend the north-east corner of the house beyond south east corner.
- South-west corner could be used for car parking, portico, septic tank or garden.
- Avoid big trees and flower pots in the north –east corner.
It is believed that if floor of west facing home is higher than east, it brings wealth and prosperity. People reside in west facing home are generally gregarious person.
The bad effect of the west facing home is that it brings health problems like skin disease.
I would mention that West facing houses are suitable for teachers, politicians, religious priests and corporate business men.
Please see if you can make changes accordingly otherwise I would suggest you to consult a vastu consultant who can make a visit to location and give you best remedies.
