Please look at the below picture. The picture shows a cut in the NE. If thats what the problem is. You can fix looking glasses 2 inch wide in L shape as shown.

Dear Valli,
There is no remedy, if NE corner cutting in the plot or a house. If NE corner cut from your plot, it is suggestable that you may leave the plot.
NE cutting in the plot or any house, that means there is no head on the body. If there is no head in the body, can it be possible the body will work in anyway?

North East direction in the house is a very constructive direction and is a source of positive energy. Defect in Northeast direction will give negative impact in persons over growth living in that house.It
has been the experience of many people that the northeast corner cut
must be corrected first to avoid such problems. Where correction has not
been possible most of the people have rejected the plot itself.
If still you have any doubt please consult a vastu expert.

hello there, I have a question for above house construction. When you are saying cutting East or North east ,are you talking about the plot or the actual house construction. I have a rectangular plot with no corners cut. I have constructed a house more or less the same drawn above where the northeast corner is left open. Is it a dosh? I thought leaving northeast open should be good in ishanya direction.i have more land further open on that direction as a rear garden.i would like a clarification as I am confused are we talking about the plot layout or actual construction of the house.looking forward for answers from other experts too. Join date: Sep 2014 | Hi Pal, Basically it applies for both plot and house and secondly for your query, It [Iahanya] is considered dosh only when the roof / portico is not covered[Slab] on that area(portion). Leaving NE open means not related to structure [meaning is we should leave space between structure and compound wall(to that zone/direction)].Mirrors and other alternates wont solve the issue, we have to modify the structure.Any doubts further upload plan. My house have no cut in the NE corner in the ground level & foundation, but can there be a cut in the North East Corner of the first floor? Now that I am planning to build on the first floor, I could save a whole lot of space. So, is it okay to have a cut in the NE corner only on the first floor.

As mentioned in the above post by Mr. Nageshwar, Cuts are to be considered for the plot and or the foundation. In your case I suppose the foundation is a rectangle and you are planning to leave the NE space open on the first floor. If my understanding is correct, the approach is perfect.

I can't tell if my floor plan has a cut or added part on the north east part of the floor plan on first floor. My door is towards the north and the north east door is the study. I am semi building the house and they had to go by some city standards and had to change the floor plan last minute. I didn't realize they were going to make the cut before we purchased the house. Now, what I wanted to know is would this be called a cut because the only thing in that room that sticks out is the closet. The room is in an awkward shape. | | | | |
