hello vrnavukarasu, You can ignore those but you have take some of the precautions. That are 1. Minimize the mix water content by maximizing the size and amount of coarse aggregate and by using low-shrinkage aggregate. 2. Use the lowest amount of mix water required for workability and placement; do not permit overly wet consistencies. 3. Use calcium chloride admixtures only when necessary. 4. Provide contraction joints at reasonable intervals, 30 times the wall thickness is a good “rule-of-thumb”. 5. Prevent rapid loss of surface moisture while the concrete is still plastic through use of spray-applied finishing aids or plastic sheets to avoid plastic-shrinkage cracks (more important in slabs) 6. Prevent extreme changes in temperature after placement and initial cure. 7. Properly place and consolidate the concrete. and i also agree with s. l. gupta gharexpert have many good articles which can help you.. bye take care..

To avoid this put chicken mesh at the junctions before plastering. To avoid honey combing use proper grade of concrete and control water cement ratio. Ensure during concreting the cement slurry does not come out from the concrete. This can be overcome by putting plastic paper below the reinforcement. Always hire services of a competent civil engineer when the work is in progress. There are a number of other measures that can not be covered in just one or two pages. | |
