How to design columns

 Topic: How to design columns

I want to build this unit with a slab roof 4-5" thick. It has open space on left side with columns only. How thick columns need to be and how far apart so the roof does not collapse?

Dear Ravi

        You can construct 8 nos columns.The size of columns size should be 9''x 18'' with RCC 1;1.5;3. The MS Steel bars should be 6 n0s 16 mm dia bars.
