How to make jewelry?

This is a very long and difficult learning process.

With the right tools, you can easily make a necklace, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, or even a ring. I would suggest starting with the basic accessories: memory wire, clips, lobster claws, pliers, beads in different sizes and colors, and bouncing rings. I find earrings the easiest, although every jeweler has their own niche. I started with necklaces, simple threads.

But how do you make decorations, you ask? I don't even look anymore. My hands just move.

For the first year, they bled daily.

In the second year they developed blisters, but they still moved unsteadily.

In the third year, they became more stable.

I am thirteenth year since I made my first necklace. When I put my hands on the pliers, they feel warm to me. It's like they welcome me home. My fingers have grown around them, they always fit perfectly. The muscles in my hands literally have dents that most people lack due to the fact that they gripped my tools every day for thirteen years while I was growing up. My fingers move around my jewelry box like a pianist on a grand piano, with an understanding and confidence that most do not experience in such instruments. And then when I start ... I don't look anymore. Loop around the wire. Press out the crimp. Thread the bead. Check the clasp before putting on the chain. This is a dance, my own little symphony. I control every part of it, every moving part. And I know this as I know myself. For me, movement is as second nature as breathing.
