As per Feng Shui, the kitchen should ideally be in the back of the house, at least behind center line of the house. If kitchen is located in South-west, North-west or Center of the house, hang five rod wind chimes in kitchen.
An ideal kitchen is one which is clean, free of clutter, well organized and well ventilated.

You can also put your cooking appliances in northwest corner. I believe this alternative direction. However, you should get it rechecked from vastu experts. As there are websites who provides vastu consultancy, you can go and ask for your problem. If you are a vastu believer, then I think you should go for expert advice.
GharExpert also has one vastu expert- Sabina Vanjani. I have seen her name and profile on home page. In addition, she has answered for lot of questions on gharexpert. Check her profile and you can ask question from her.

I have kitchen in the north east that
is in the ishan corner. I have no other alternative except to keep it. While cooking our face is towards the east. We have placed the water matka and the aquaguard in the in the ishan corner of the kitchen. The gas is in the east direction. Kindly suggest some remedies to remove this vastu dosh and the losses
due to this.

I have kitchen placed in the north east corner of my apartment in a multistoried building.I asked the builder if this could be changed.But he says that the elevation would be affected.Please let me know if there is any remedy to overcome the dosh.

Hi,
We've bought our first house and kitchen is in NE. Also, I face South when cooking. Is there any remedy per Vastu for this defect? Relocating kitchen and stove is next to impossible for us.

my house is southeast facing and kitchen is in north west of my house. I have no alternative as my wife doesn't like it. i also have window in northeast wall. As i read that cooking gas should be in south east and face while cooking shud be in east. but in my kitchen it is not possible. Is there any remedies to remove this vastu dosha. Plz help me. Thanx

my kithen is in south west direction ( ground floor) of duplex house, bedrooms are on the north east at first floor.
Now I have stove placed facing west, visible from outside. My son is having severe digective problem.
the other only alternative is i can place stove and face south, which can give financial loss, so what is remedy & alternative

In My flat the kitchen is in the N-E corner , as I do not have any other alternative how to solve this Vaastu Problem . The kitchen door is facing West & the sink is in on North wall . The person has to towards East while cooking . PLS give me some solution. | | |

We are living in rented house for past 8 mnths, the kitchen is located in west direction, when cooking face is towards west, sink is towards south, entrance is towards east, there are windows infront of stove opening in balcony, there is a balcony infront of kitchen with another sink & door to it is near stove. Join date: May 2013 | Dear Fellow Members, From the above post . it appears that the position of Kitchen in already constructed house is most important , in addition to the position of Toilet , which affects significantally to the inmates of the house. Since dismantling / demolition and physical shifting in such houses is PRACTICALLY not feasible , so there is only alternative now a days available , if implemented earnestly can set off their ill-effects.
