If you think it’s too expensive then don’t do it. That being said, I skimped on bikes and really suffered doing 30 mile rides with 1500 ft elevation on a $700 folding bike. Only after I got a proper road bike did I realize it was worth it. I stopped going cheap on stuff like bike clothing (literally the only women’s sports clothing with pockets ! And you can easily wear men’s clothing too). I have a high end Decathlon bike with a 105 so it’s considered a bargain but my nice mountain bike and fancy gravel bike also make me happy.
i never felt this good working out at a gym or doing yoga, so I consider this worth it. There’s no need to hire a teacher or be stuck in a class listening to crappy music. Riding can be done alone or in a group and the community is great.
i have a $2000 car in great condition but unless I’m on a racetrack I’ll never feel the difference of driving a fancy car the way I do a fancy bike. If you love engineering it’s a great hobby.
i see people Not flinching at buying $25,000 cars ??????? Or even higher … why so much hate to bikes ? Especially with suv models you really have lost all the magic or car design and can’t feel the design.
