For calculating the MS steel in Roof/Lentil/pillar etc, the structure engineers first calculate the load that would be put on the structure element and then calculate the steel on it. The size, span and loading conditions determine these calculations and it is best done by the engineers, so please use the services of a structure engineer for this.
