|  Topic: Flooring - Marble
Lot of people have concern of what type of floor is best suited for thier neeeds.
I found a List of Material on Marble with thier Name, Varieties, State, Price, Slab, Base Color and Description. Two and half pages. It's old list around 2007 or 2008 so the price will not be accurate.
Since I took it from internet, can't remember the website and would like to post it on gharexpert forum. Is it a copyright violation, strictly prohibited?
Some people have no clue on how much to pay for marble and their varieties. Folk at gharexpert might have great knowledge they would like to share. |

Dear Kanhaiya Ji,
Selection of type of floor is according to the need of user. There are some points under consideration at the time of selection the type of floor which are as follows: - Type of buildings where floor is to be laid i.e. residential unit, shopping complex, educational building, hospital building etc.
- Location where you want to lay floor i.e. in drawing room, bath room, kitchen, store, circulation space and stair case etc.
- Availability of budget.
- In case of commercial building, loading condition is required for floor designing.
I hope this article will resolve most of your queries.

Bascially I am talking about residential flooring. Two top of the line marble are 1. Makarana 2. Ambaji white marble.
The selection process becomes difficult when Makarana has 25 different type of varieties as well as with Ambaji white marble.
Marble are produced in different region of India. I assume that Rajasthan has the best quality. One know has to figure out which district produces high quality marble.
Too bad this post will be lost when it get to the bottom.
I am thinking of writing another post in construction section with our house building process (flooring) with a list of marble. Mind you not it not a complete list of marbe available to general public. Only with premission given to publish.
By the way, great write up by Priti on chosing marble.
