So you are all set to start building your dream project and need a builder who will help you to convert your dream in reality. But you don’t know which builder is to choose? First of all you must know that who is builder. What you think, who is builder? The person you hired for building your home. Your answer may be yes .But sometime it is said that when you hire a builder at same time you hire his crew, his sub contractor, and his material supplier. Most of builder in United States works on this pattern.
All construction projects come with a bundle of problems. And stuck with a wrong contractor is the worst problem you don’t want to face ever. To avoid this problem number one and best principle is never compromise with honesty and integrity for cheap price. When in process of searching for a reputed builder keep in mind the old saying “Trust, but verify!” . You need minimum three complete projects from that builder and name of owner of those projects. You must talk with each owner to verify about builder.
A contractor who has core values, desire to be the best, and good in character from your point of view should be considering. The builder you hire is expert and you must some knowledge of all the process so it is advised that hire a contractor with whom you feel comfortable. Builder you hired must be trust worthy and experienced. I always prepare a questionnaire for the experts of all fields whom I need to hire. Here are some common questions you can ask to a builder: 1. How long have you been in this field? 2. How many projects you have done? 3. What work you with your own crew? For what you need other sub contractor, material supplier etc. 4. Do you supervise the project yourself or any other person? 5. How many change order you will entertain as average? 6. Who will pay for any mistake happens during project? 7. Do you have some testimonials or reference letters? 8. What kind of warranty will you provide? You may add some more question based on reference from your friends and relatives. If you get positive and enthusiastic answers from the builder then you have done and you can choose the best and reputed builder contractor for your dream project. Now it is time to start "Bhumi Poojan". Hmmmm.........
Congrats
