Gensler designed a new Ritz-Carlton Hotel located in the center of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in Dubai. The design of hotel has particular identity, reflects Ritz’s ancient tradition and complements the DIFC urban design. The hotel is situated adjacent to the DIFC gate building and be connected to it by a retail mall.
The five stars hotel with 340 key has 124 executive service apartments and 323 luxury branded apartments. The 14 storey building is connected to apartment building by a full-height entrance hall. An extensive three-storey car park is underground. The traditional store front is complemented by green landscape gardens as well as sunken garden overlooked by restaurants and bars, water features and shaded terrace areas. The facilities consist of business centers, ballrooms, two restaurants and two bars, a health suite and spa and retail accommodation. Tennis courts, a gymnasium, swimming pool and sun decks offer recreational facilities.
The green gardens put next to traditional stone front of the hotel provide a desert oasis feel while reflecting Ritz's ancient tradition of Western luxury. A waterfall in entrance courtyard and many shaded terrace areas make relaxing ambiance.
