Would you enjoy living in trees? I think you might after you see this creation from Stockholm-based architects Tham + Videgard Hansson Arkitekter who have realized the dream of lodging in trees. The architects have designed a hotel hidden in trees, in Harads, Sweden. Aluminium structure of the hotel is hung around trunks of the tree and is clad in mirrored glass. It consists of a living room, double bed, small kitchen, and bathroom and roof terrace. The hotel is accessible through a rope ladder and provides accommodation for two people.
The concept of hotel tree was developed to create a shelter up in the trees. It is a lightweight aluminum structure which is hung around a tree trunk and boxes clad in mirrored glass of 4x4x4 meters. The interiors of the hotel are made of plywood. The windows give a 360 degree view and the exteriors reflect surroundings and the sky, creating a hidden shelter. The access to the hotel is through a rope ladder or a rope bridge. The windows, transparent stickers, visible for birds, are added to facades to prevent birds fly into the hotel.
