Cladding on a building that is more than half a kilometer high

Cladding on a high rise is a big challenge in itself but when a company is assigned to do cladding work on a building that is 688 meters high the task becomes monumental. Here are some details of the Arabian Aluminum’s interview with the Gulf Construction.

Even though the cladding work on the tower is being done in phases; still the fabrication and installation of 50,000+ pieces of high performance glass that equals the area of 17 football fields is a huge ask for any organization. Reflective glazing, aluminum and textured steel spandrels and vertical stainless steel fins are some of the materials used to decorate this high rise.
