Door and window frames

Hello All, I have purschaded a flat on 14th floor. Interiror work will be starting from the next month. I want the window and door frames in granite or marble. But builder is saying taht if we keep it as Wood then it will be good. this is because on 14th floor the air is so mcuh that granite cannt hold any nails or clips. Wood will be better option. Is it true... Please guide me in this regard. .
