The floor tiles made from Carborundum stone are called “Carborundum round edge tiles”. These are not commonly used in India. Traditionally these tiles are brown, anti-slip quarry tiles with one round edge. The surface of these tiles is embedded with metal fillings for anti-slip finish.
These tiles are suitable for floors subject to medium and heavy traffic, all residential floor and light commercial areas. These can be fixed on base coat with cement mortar 1:3 as per other ceramic tiles are fixed. |
