In this method of grinding, grinding is done with grit block used in granite polishing having designation number 1 to 6. The initial cutting and grinding of joints to a smooth or a level surface is done with grinding machine which is  fitted with the grit block number 1 and 2. This grinding is done after a period of three to four days after laying stone slabs. The subsequent grindings with finer grit blocks number 3 to 6 are for polishing and achieving a fine sheen on the stone. This is followed by buffing with tin oxide powder. Wax polishing is not necessary in granite polishing
